Steve is also the Co-Founder and Owner of "LIFE @ Broad Ripple", Indy’s newest club & gathering place in the Village’s popular nightlife! Open since May of ’99, live music, local art, poetry, food, non-alcoholic drinks & meaningful relationships, all in a club atmosphere sets this club in a niche all its own! The club has been featured in the Indianapolis Star, on Fox59 news, in Nuvo Magazine, & on radio’s X103. Open every Saturday from 10pm-1am at 6202 N. Carrolton (1 block south of the Vogue parking lot), LIFE has quickly become a popular gathering place for many teens, young adults and musicians throughout the Indy area. As the club grew, it became more clear that the club had a niche for reaching the skaters, goths, punks, hippies and the rest of us misfits that hang out in Broad Ripple! Under new management since Steve left for Portland, LIFE @ Broad Ripple is still alive and thriving, even reaching more local and nomadic teens and young adults! They are not only continuing the club nights with music & free pizza where anywhere from 70 to 200 kids will show up, but have also become a real family for many of those who could have otherwise just drifted on through. They also began "The Bridge," where volunteers from LIFE spend time on the Bridge in Broad Ripple with the kids & adults on their turf. They also have a growing social needs network among the growing family, mentoring programs, and get this, they have even started "The Gathering," their own church gathering that was meeting in a house and has now outgrown the house! What started out as a club has grown into a real family and the doors are still WIDE OPEN! That rocks! That's LIFE...LIFE @ Broad Ripple!
